There were only 167 painting lots,  and not many exciting works. The sale mainly consisted of some works by the older school of painters but it was however refreshing to see an inclusion of some contemporary works by Norman Catherine,  David Brown and Andries Botha and Robert Hodgins.

Many buyers left the hall after the international art section and various lots were not sold due to a lack of interest from the remaining bidders. There was however keen interest in some of the contemporary works.
